June 18, 2017
This Sunday, Pastor Jeff will have a special message for Father’s Day titled “Choices of a Great Dad.” Next week, Pastor Todd will conclude his Exiles series and teach on 1 Peter 5:6-14.
Join us in the outside lobby as we celebrate our Dads at Crossroads during all four services! We will have a special celebration at the 5:00 p.m. service, and serve root beer floats from the A&W Truck. To make it a bit easier on families, we will be offering NexGen for Birth through Toddlers at the 5:00 p.m. service.
As we prepare to enter our new home, we are leaving our main campus at the end of June and enter a short period that we are calling our “Wilderness Journey.” Here are important dates to remember:

This month our Go Partner spotlight is Peter and Heather Malakar, who are serving in Central Asia. Peter and Heather have several major ministries. They recently took over ownership of a music and language center, which they use to build relationships in the community. The Malakars are also involved in training church leaders, providing medical care to the underprivileged, and reaching out to university students through teaching English. Peter primarily serves as the pastor of Capital Bible Church, as well as a doctor overseeing the medical clinic. Please pray for the Malakar family as they seek to share Christ in a country and culture dominated by Hinduism.
Elevate Summer Camp at Hume Lake is now full for Jr. High Meadow Ranch and High School Ponderosa camps. However, we still have opening for the High School Wildwood camp! Wildwood is Hume Lake's spiritual emphasis camp. For more information or to sign up contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Beach Bus! Join us for a day at the beach! Every other Thursday in June and July Elevate will gather at 8 a.m. in the Elevate Warehouse and carpool to the beach. Students must have a 2017 CCC Medical & Liability Release Form on file, bring a packed lunch and snacks for the day, and some money for emergencies, the cost is $5. Beaches are 6/22 - Carpenteria, 7/6 - Malibu and 7/20 - Huntington Beach.
Elevate Surf Club: Every third Sunday in June, July and August, $5 – Surf Club is for students who can surf or who want to learn. We meet outside the church office after 8:00 a.m. church service. We check the surf report, and then head out to the beach with the gnarliest waves! You need to bring $5, a wet suit, a board, and money for food. If you don’t have a board, we have a few to lend. Surf Club usually returns around 6:30 p.m. Hey parents, we need drivers if you want to join us!
TEN is a mission we launched on our ten-year anniversary, when the Crossroads family, by God's grace, commits to giving our lives away in three ways. First, is by planting ten healthy Bible-teaching churches. Second, is to build out and pay off the Valencia Crossroads' main campus within the next ten years. Last, is to identify, select, and financially underwrite the cost to send ten teenage orphans to the Master's University. Join us. Together, we can invest in the future today by making your check out to TEN or donating online at lifeatcrossroads.org/give. All contributions to TEN are tax-deductible under IRS guidelines.
