WILDERNESS JOURNEY

As we prepare to enter our new home, we will be leaving our main campus at the end of July and enter a short period that we are calling our “Wilderness Journey.” Here are some important dates to remember:

→ July 30: Last Sunday for Worship Services @ Main & West Campus

→ August 6: Worship Services @ Savia Community Center 23780 Newhall Avenue, Newhall

→ October 8: Grand Opening at 25300 Rye Canyon

Crossroads offices will remain at our North Campus, and ministry will continue as normal during our time in the wilderness.

During our transition time, we are estimating that we are going to need an additional $150,000 “over and above” our normal giving in our Building Fund. This will assist us in covering additional costs associated with this delay, including:

    → Temporary Worship Location

→ Rent for our North Campus Offices

    → New Building Carrying Costs

We are asking that each person who attends Crossroads to prayerfully consider giving over and above your regular tithe to carry us through this wilderness period and into the new building. If you would take part in raising an additional $150,000, we ask that you make your offering to our Building Fund. Should you have any questions, please feel free to talk to Steve Stark, our Church Administrator, or one of our Elders.

GO MINISTRY

Our Go Partner Spotlight of the month is James Townley; who is a missionary with Pioneers in Albania. His ministry reaches out to the Roma people; a minority group who are outcast from the society and who are unreached by the gospel. He does this by building relationships, meeting their physical and spiritual needs, and using soccer outreach. Through his outreach, he hopes to make disciples and plant an indigenous church. Please pray for James as he continues to learn the language and build relationships, as well as for his safety.

Baby Bottle Boomerang: If you haven’t already, don’t forget to pick up your bottle to fill with change! All proceeds will go to the Santa Clarita Valley Pregnancy Center. You can grab a bottle today at the Registration Cart or church offices. Please bring your filled bottle back to the cart by Father's Day, Sunday, June 18.

ELEVATE MINISTRY

Attention Class of 2017 and 2018! You are invited to join Pastor Ed to study and discuss the search for a soul mate and all that this search entails. We will be reading “Sacred Search,” by Gary Thomas. The study will run on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. at Corner Bakery starting June 11th and running through August 27th. This oost is $15 which includes the book. Sign up on Eventbrite today!

Elevate Summer 2017 Schedule: Just like last summer we are headed out of our church for student ministry! This is a great opportunity to invite new friends to your student ministry, so take advantage of it! We will have swimming, snacks, a message and worship, so come out and don’t forget your Bible, a modest one-piece swimsuit and a towel. Host Homes for June: Jr. High - Tuesdays, starting June 6th at the Caffey Home 30261 Romero Canyon Rd, Castaic. Sr. High - Wednesdays, starting June 7th at the Gallagher Home 24716 Aden Ave, Newhall.

Beach Bus! Join us for a day at the beach! Every other Thursday in June and July Elevate will gather at 8 a.m. in the Elevate Warehouse and carpool to the beach. Students must have a 2017 CCC Medical & Liability Release Form on file, bring a packed lunch and snacks for the day, and some money for emergencies, the cost is $5. Beaches are 6/8 - Huntington Beach, 6/22 - Carpenteria, 7/6 - Malibu and 7/20 - Huntington Beach.

Medical & Liability Release Forms: There is a lot going on in Elevate this summer! When we take your student off campus for a special event, a 2017 CCC Medical & Liability Release Form is required for every student, including friends. If your information has changed a new form is requested. To make it convenient for you, you can fill out the form online at www.lifeatcrossroads.org/medform. If you haven't already, we suggest you fill one out today!

Elevate Surf Club: Every third Sunday in June, July and August, $5 – Surf Club is for students who can surf or who want to learn. We meet outside the church office after 8 a.m. church service. We check the surf report, and then head out to the beach with the gnarliest waves! You need to bring $5, a wet suit, a board, and money for food. If you don’t have a board, we have a few to lend. Surf Club usually returns around     6:30 p.m. Hey parents, we need drivers if you want to join us!

TEN

TEN is a mission we launched on our ten-year anniversary, when the Crossroads family, by God's grace, commits to giving our lives away in three ways. First, is by planting ten healthy Bible-teaching churches. Second, is to build out and pay off the Valencia Crossroads' main campus within the next ten years. Last, is to identify, select, and financially underwrite the cost to send ten teenage orphans to the Master's University. Join us. Together, we can invest in the future today by making your check out to TEN or donating online at lifeatcrossroads.org/give. All contributions to TEN are tax-deductible under IRS guidelines.
