Parent Dedication:  Join us on Sunday, October 21, for Parent Dedication during all three services. We believe that Parent Dedication is celebrating a commitment to raise your child in the ways of the Lord. Believer’s Baptism:  Have you committed your life to Christ but never taken the step of baptism? We want to invite you to join us during all three morning services on Sunday, October 28, for the Believer's Baptism. Everyone over 18 who desires to be baptized must attend the Baptism Class on Sunday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. Sign up today at the Registration cart or www.lifeatcrossroads.info. ReEngage:  ReEngage is a marriage enhancement and restoration course that seeks to: revive a marriage that has gone “cold”, restore a broken marriage relationship, replace damaging words and behaviors with relationally healthy ones, and replenish marriages with a new spirit of God’s design for couples in a way that is sustainable and benefits our children, family, friends, co-workers, and community. This ministry takes place in a large and small group setting. Your marriage will benefit from this study and experience! GO MINISTRY

Go Weekend:  We are excited to announce an upcoming event called Go Weekend on October 13 and 14! On Saturday, October 13, a team from Crossroads will go and serve at The Children's Hunger Fund from 2-4 pm in Sylmar. We will be wrapping Christmas gifts for children in need. If you are interested, please sign up at lifeatcrossroads.info. On Sunday, October 14, we will have a ministry fair outside on our patio! This year we will focus on ministries that aid children in areas of trafficking, adoption, fostering, and supporting in many other ways, both locally and globally. There are nearly seven million Shan people in existence today, with less than 1% reached for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Elijah and Alli desire to make disciples of Jesus and plant house-based churches within the Shan culture.

Walk For Life:  This year, Crossroads is excited to host the Santa Clarita Valley Pregnancy Center Walk for Life! The walk will start here, at Crossroads on Saturday, September 29, at 9 AM, with registration opening at 8 AM. Please consider joining us and our city's community of believers supporting and protecting the sanctity of human life. ELEVATE MINISTRY - Jr. High and High School

Elevate NextLevel Retreat: Seniors and 8th graders are welcome to join us for the annual Next Level Retreat the last weekend of September!  This is a purposeful retreat for our students who are moving up to the next level soon and need encouragement for their faith for this next stage of life.  We will be partnering with Stand to Reason (str.org) by studying applied apologetics at their Rethink Conference at Calvary Costa Mesa. Elevate Book Club: Starting September 16 and running every Sunday at 9:30am after, Elevate will host a book club in the Student Center. Elevate Book Club is free, you just need to get the book, and there are no sign ups, just meet us in the Elevate Student Center at 9:30am. The first book we will read together will be Strobel’s Case for Christ.  We may have a few for sale, but you can order it online through Amazon.

Come join Gary Thomas, bestselling author and international speaker, as he teaches on his newest book on marriage, Cherish.

ELEVATE MINISTRY - Jr. High and High School

Elevate Surf Club: Third Sunday of the month, $5 – Surf Club is for students who can surf or who want to learn. We meet outside the church office at 8:00 a.m. We check the surf report, and then head out to the beach with the gnarliest waves! You need to bring $5, a wetsuit, a board, and money for food. If you don’t have a board, we have a few to lend. Surf Club usually returns around 6:30 p.m. Hey parents, we need drivers if you want to join us!

Care Offering:  No doubt you have heard and seen the coverage of the massive Carr Fire that is raging in the northern part of our state. We are in contact with the pastoral staff at Redding Christian Fellowship where 150 families have been displaced and 10 families have lost everything. 100% of our Care Offering today will be sent to Redding Christian Fellowship for use within their congregation and the community at large. Please be in prayer for RCF and the residents of Shasta County as they continue to fight the flames and rebuild their communities.

Go Spotlight:  This month, our Go Partner Spotlight is Comfort Critters, a ministry started by Crossroads members, Randy and Johanna Degroot. Comfort Critters provides new stuffed animals to children in the Emergency Room Department at Henry Mayo Hospital. These critters are used by the hospital to help take away the fear that can come from a visit to the Emergency Room.

This year Crossroads will deliver 828 stuffed animals to Henry Mayo Hospital for the ER. Thank you for your prayers and generous donations.

Short Term Mission Trips: On Thursday, July 26, a team left for Haiti and the Alaska team leaves today. Please pray for their safety and for God to work powerfully through them.

Cherish Marriage Conference:  We are excited to present the Cherish Marriage Conference for all who wish to enrich their marriage in fresh ways, regardless of how long you have been together. Come join Gary Thomas, bestselling author and international speaker, as he teaches on his newest book on marriage, Cherish.

The conference will be Friday night and Saturday, September 7-8 and run from 7 pm to 9 pm on Friday, and from 8:30 am to 12 pm on Saturday, September 8. Limited childcare will be available and will be first come first serve. Save the date to sign up by July 31 for the limited time price of $99 per couple! Starting August 1, the price will be $115 per couple.

Man Up Summer Breakfast:  Men, join us on Saturday morning, August 11,  for some fellowship over breakfast burritos followed by hearing from one of our elders, Dan Waldeck. Dan is going to share with us the story of what the Lord has done in his life and family that has led him to where he is today. Go Spotlight:  This month, our Go Partner Spotlight is Comfort Critters, a ministry started by Crossroads members, Randy and Johanna Degroot. Comfort Critters provides new stuffed animals to children in the Emergency Room Department at Henry Mayo Hospital. These critters are used by the hospital to help take away the fear that can come from a visit to the Emergency Room. We will be holding sales to purchase stuffed animals today and Jully 22 in our lobby!

Our college ministry (Oxford Fellowship) meets Sunday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the church loft. Please follow Oxford Fellowship on Instagram at @oxfordfellowship to see all updates regarding our meeting times and locations.

Elevate Surf Club: Third Saturday of the month, $5 – Surf Club is for students who can surf or who want to learn. We meet outside the church office at 8:00 a.m. We check the surf report, and then head out to the beach with the gnarliest waves! You need to bring $5, a wetsuit, a board, and money for food. If you don’t have a board, we have a few to lend. Surf Club usually returns around 6:30 p.m. Hey parents, we need drivers if you want to join us!

Elevate Summer 2018:  Elevate is outside! This is a great opportunity to invite new friends to your student ministry, so take advantage of it. We have swimming, snacks, a message and worship, so come out and don’t forget your Bible, a modest one-piece swimsuit and a towel. CampREV Summer Camp Registration:  CampREV is a Christian motocross camp taking place July 30 - August 1 at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino. It is an opportunity for kids and adults to learn to ride from Christian professionals. CampRev is designed to provide riders with a firm spiritual, physical, and technical foundation. Hope Gardens VBS:  We are excited to present a short-term missions trip this summer to Hope Gardens in Sylmar, CA. Hope Gardens is located just a few miles away and is a housing facility and haven to women and children experiencing homelessness. We will be sending a team to Hope Gardens from July 23-26 to put on a Vacation Bible School for the children and a Women's Conference for the ladies living there, along with serving in other ways they may need. Elevate Summer 2018:  Elevate is going outside! This is a great opportunity to invite new friends to your student ministry, so take advantage of it. We have swimming, snacks, a message and worship, so come out and don’t forget your Bible, a modest one-piece swimsuit and a towel. Bridge to Home Easter Donation:  Thanks to the generous donations from our Easter service, Bridge to Home received a total of $8,844.00. These funds went directly to providing for the people experiencing homelessness in the Santa Clarita Valley. This season, they provided overnight shelter and meals for 130 nights. They also served 168 people, including 14 veterans, 62 with a disability and extended periods of homelessness, and 43 with physical or mental disabilities. And 11 people were moved into stable housing.

SCV Pregnancy Center Care Offering: This Sunday, May 20, we will be taking a Care Offering for the Santa Clarita Valley Pregnancy Center. For those in NexGen, we will have bottles to be filled with change for their Baby Bottle Boomerang. You can grab a bottle at the NexGen check-in area. All proceeds from the offering and bottles will go to the Santa Clarita Valley Pregnancy Center. Elevate Surf Club: Third Saturday in Junel, $5 – Surf Club is for students who can surf or who want to learn. We meet outside the church office at 8:00 a.m. We check the surf report, and then head out to the beach with the gnarliest waves! You need to bring $5, a wetsuit, a board, and money for food. If you don’t have a board, we have a few to lend. Surf Club usually returns around 6:30 p.m. Hey parents, we need drivers if you want to join us!

NEXGEN MINISTRY - Birth to 6th Grade

VBS: Join us for a fun-filled week of connecting with God’s word through the story of Daniel. Any kids entering 1st grade through entering 7th grade are invited to Vacation Bible School. VBS runs 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from July 9-13. The cost is $12 per child and you can register through Sunday, July 1st at www.lifeatcrossroads.info. After June 25th, the cost will be $17 per child.

GO MINISTRY

SCV Pregnancy Center Care Offering:  Next Sunday, May 20, we will be taking a Care Offering for the Santa Clarita Valley Pregnancy Center. For those in NexGen, we will have bottles to be filled with change for their Baby Bottle Boomerang. You can grab a bottle at the NexGen check-in area today. All proceeds from the offering and bottles will go to the SCV Pregnancy Center. Please return your filled bottle back to the SCV Pregnancy Center, located at 25174 Rye Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita, by Father's Day, Sunday, June 17.

SCV Glory Concert:  Glory SCV 2018 is hosting their annual Christian concert on Friday, June 22, at College of the Canyons. Join believers in our valley for this special event! The concert will headline Jeremy Camp, Britt Nicole, Colton Dixon, and Tauren Wells. Gates open at 3 pm and local bands begin at 4 pm. GROW MINISTRY

Following Jesus Class:  This summer, we will be offering a study on excelling in the Christian life, led by Pastor Jeff Benda. The study will be using his book, Following Jesus: The Life of a Disciple. This class will be offered on both Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning for both men and women. It will be kicking off this study on Tuesday, May 15 and Wednesday, May 16 for the next 11 weeks. The cost is $15, with no childcare. COLLEGE MINISTRY

The Crossroads college ministry (Oxford Fellowship) meets Sunday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the church loft. Please follow Oxford Fellowship on Instagram at @oxfordfellowship to see all updates regarding our meetings time and locations. There will be no meeting this week.

ELEVATE MINISTRY - Jr. High and High School

Student Ministry Preview Nights: Elevate Preview night for all incoming 7th grade students is Tuesday, May 15th 7 - 9pm. If your student is currently in 6th grade, they may join us on this night to see what Elevate is all about. They will experience the whole night including small group time! No need to RSVP, just come and let us welcome you!

Elevate Preview night for all incoming 9th grade students is Wednesday, May 16th 7 - 9pm. If your student is currently in 8th grade, they may join us to preview High School ministry. It's a huge difference! Students are encouraged to go both nights, attend Jr. High on Tuesday and then come back on Wednesday for more! Contact student@lifeatcrossroads.org.
