June 12, 2016 Weekend Announcements

June 12, 2016

This Sunday at Crossroads: This Sunday, guest speaker Harry Walls will teach from 1 John 5:14-17. Next week, Pastor Todd Smith will be teaching from selected scriptures for a special Fathers Day weekend message.

Serving Opportunity: Connections Ministry We are looking for individuals to partner with us in our new Connections Ministry. This ministry is geared toward helping others find connections during our weekend services. We have several areas for you to plug into, so if you're interested, stop by the Information Central in our outdoor lobby to find a full list of available service opportunities.

RightNow Media: We are excited to introduce RightNow Media, an online library of over 10,000 biblical video resources for your personal study, marriage enrichment, leadership development, small groups, finances, and more. There are also over 2,000 kids' videos to help your children understand their faith. If you have not yet received an email from us inviting you to use this free resource, please write us at info@lifeatcrossroads.org so that we can get you an invitation to set up your account.

Baby Bottle Boomerang: Don't forget to pick up your bottle to fill with change! All proceeds will go to the Santa Clarita Valley Pregnancy Center. You can grab a bottle today from one of the carts at the Main Campus and the South Campus. Please bring your filled bottle back to the cart by Father's Day, June 19.

Office Volunteer Opportunity: Crossroads Church is seeking volunteers to serve as receptionists in our church offices, Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Actual volunteer hours and days are flexible based on your availability. Contact Lorraine Solomon at lsolomon@lifeatcrossroads.org for more information.

Go Partner Spotlight: This month, our Go Partner spotlight is on Peter and Heather Malakar, who are serving in Central Asia. Peter and Heather have several major ministries, including building relationships with the community through a music and language center they recently took ownership of. They are also involved in training church leaders, providing medical care to the underprivileged in India, and reaching out to university students by teaching English. Peter mainly serves as the pastor of Capital Bible Church and is a doctor who oversees the medical clinic. Please pray for the Malakar family as they seek to share Christ in a country and culture dominated by Hinduism.
