October 23, 2016 Weekend Announcements

ALL CHURCH

This Sunday at Crossroads, Pastor Todd Smith will teach from Ruth 4:13-22. Next Sunday, Pastor Todd Smith will start his series on the theology of sexuality with the topic, "Is Gender Sacred or Selected?"

Baptism: Have you committed your life to Christ but never taken the step to baptism? We want to invite you to join us during all three services on Sunday, October 30th, for the Believer's Baptism. Sign up today at www.lifeatcrossroads.org/signup or at Registration Central on a Sunday morning.

On Sunday, October 30th, Pastor Todd will launch a preaching series on the theology of sexuality. God holds the patent on human sexuality, so we will spend four weeks looking at what the scriptures have to say about this topic. This is an important topic that has been hijacked by our culture. Parents, we know our kids attend the Sunday Worship Services and the sermons will take into account their presence. We seek to be biblical and sensitive with each Sunday topic. Here is the following sermon schedule:

10/30 - Is Gender Sacred or Selected?
11/6 - Are Gender Roles Holy or Hollywood?
11/13 - Is Marriage Defined or Discovered? - Dr. Gene Getz 11/20 - Is Sexuality Glandular or Godly?

The Holy Land Tour: The tour (November 1–10, 2017) is officially FULL. Inspirations Tours have been kind enough to begin a waiting list in case of any cancellations. If you are interested in being added to the waiting list, contact Inspirations Tours directly (800-247-1899) and ask to speak with a Reservation Coordinator.

GO MINISTRY

For the month of October, we are honored to highlight John and Holly Reed, members of Crossroads, and their ministry with AWANA Lifeline. John serves as the primary point of contact for our Malachi Dads ministry to the inmates of Pitchess Detention Center. He helps coordinate and teach Bible studies to the men there, showing them what it means to be in a relationship with God and how to be a godly parent. AWANA Lifeline's hope and goal is to see families restored, first with God, and secondly with each other so that the next generation will walk in obedience to the Lord.

Join ZOE International in their walk to raise awareness for human trafficking. ZOE works to raise awareness and rescue those in trafficking both here in LA and internationally. The walk will take place on Saturday, November 5, at 10 a.m. and will begin at the Los Angeles Mission College. Go to www.zoerescuewalk.com/walk-details/ for more info and to register.

TEN

TEN is an initiative we launched on our ten-year anniversary, when the Crossroads family, by God's grace, commits to giving our lives away in three ways. First, is by planting ten healthy Bible-teaching churches. Second, is to build out and pay off the Valencia Crossroads' main campus within the next ten years. Last, is to identify, select, and financially underwrite the cost to send ten teenage orphans to the Master's University over the next decade. Join us. Together, we can invest in the future today by making your check out to TEN or donating online at lifeatcrossroads.org/give. All contributions to TEN are tax-deductible under IRS guidelines.
